Just in case you were thinking what happens at Fashion Week stays at Fashion Week when it comes to beauty, here’s proof that it can have an impact on the hair, makeup, and nail styles we see around us: Kate Hudson wore a nail look that walked the runways at NYFW just this month. She wore a gold-tipped French manicure at the Bulgari Decades of Glamour Oscar Party last night…
A look that was spotted at the Suno show (created by the crew at Maybelline):

This is how a trend in Hollywood starts from the runways folks. The tastemakers (meaning the stars themselves or the people they hire to put their looks together) spot a something at a show and suddenly you see it pop up on the red carpet. And as trends go, this is an easy one to get on board with—after all, gold is pretty universally flattering, and it’s not a complicated look to pull off. Hey, they even make stickers to make getting clean tips easier. It’s certainly a playful look. You can see why she jumped on this one, right?
