bodymetrics-machineBody Scan Machine Finds You Perfect Fitting Jeans

Finding a pair of perfect fitting jeans can be a nightmare for a lot of women.

Hauling piles of pairs into a fitting room only to have them be too tight, too loose, or just all around wrong can ruin a trip to the mall — not to mention your day.

What if I told you that there’s a machine that can match your body to the perfect fitting jeans?

Yes, the technology exists, though the machine is in limited locations currently, making it a little bit of a challenge to find out what would look best.

The U.K. has the jump on this technology, with a machine called the Bodymetrics pod.

Pod? Awesome.

So, you stand inside of the machine that looks a bit like a freestanding changing room, and it does its thing — that is, it does a 3-D scan of your body’s measurements, putting you into one of three “shape” categories.

You’re either an “emerald” (slim), “ruby” (curvaceous) or “sapphire” (combo).

From there, the machine gives you some recommendations on which brands and styles of jeans will fit your body type and measurements the best.

Here’s the good news — it’s coming stateside, with 100 pods expected to make their way into U.S. stores in the next two years. Bloomingdale’s already is reportedly testing them.

What do you think of the Bodymetrics “body mapping technology?”

Is it a gimmick to sell more jeans or can this body scanning machine really find you the perfect fit?
