Vogue changes its Customary Ways to Promote Healthier Living

Vogue, or Bible of fashion as you can call it, is a name that the entire world follows to stay up to date with the recent trends. It has always maintained a huge fan following and mostly has worked with model who were “Painfully Thin”. And not to forget mentioning that girls and women all over the world have followed this trend blindly and have lost tons of pounds by cutting down on their eating habits significantly!

But recently the fashion magazine giant changed all that! ‘The Health Initiative’, a name given to the six-point pact being introduced to all of its 19 international editions, has targeted to promote a healthier body for having a healthy living style. This drift is now also being encouraged within the entire fashion industry considering the fact that women all over the world tend to follow what the see on tube or in magazines.

The magazine’s representatives also have given an assurance of providing adequate privacy to its models’ life and also provide them with healthier drinks and eatables during the show backstage.

And that’s not it! Models under the age of 16 years, and models that have some kind of eating disorders would knowingly be banned from entering this industry! This move has been implemented by the magazine to let people know about the importance of healthy living and how much the magazine itself is serious about it. Girls below 16 years of age are already not permitted for catwalk in numerous countries around the globe.

Being a major magazine, many of its editors think that it has the power to change the minds of people in this regard, and if this change is implemented successfully this will be a major breakthrough in fashion industry as well! Several designers would also be asked not to create tiny samples of dresses so that healthier and fitter models can fit into those too, while it would also ask modeling agencies to avoid sending any minor girl under the age of 16 for modeling.

This move has already been welcomed by many big names and major organizations. But the air of change so far has just started!
